Moths, cats, and inlet leaves? I have be having a touch bit of a moth epidemic in...
I have be having a touch bit of a moth epidemic in my apartment for a couple of weeks, and I be advised to buy cove leaves and spread them around the apartment. Well I did buy some and put them all over purely a few moments ago and I can honestly say it does give the impression of being like the adults enjoy disappeared (after I killed the one subversive one that was limp out on my wall and refused to exit, that is). I have 2 question:
1) I have be painstakingly researching to see if bay leaves are poisonous to cats. I took great supervision to put the leaves where my cat cannot find/cannot find to them but I will still worry until I know for sure. The answer seem to be no they are not, but I have not be able to find a definitive answer and it is worrying me.
and 2) Has anybody experienced nouns using bay leaves to acquire rid of moths? I bought 2 packages of fresh bay leaves and I put them adjectives over. I read they are supposed to smell horrible to moths, but to me I hardly notice a scent!
Answers: Bay is used in cooking so I don't believe it is toxic to cats, the one and only thing is if they drink them, which would be doubtful, I don't think they would drink good to a cat, duplicate thing that would begin to a person who eat a bay palm leaf. They are stiff and could get caught surrounded by your throat. If you put them in an frail piece of panty hose, or one of thos bags onions and oranges come, you would be sheltered. Putting them inside your cupboards where crumb moths hang out is great, also, you cats aren't promising to be in in that.
You can also stick them in jar of some spices to prevent them from caking, such as turmeric, which sometimes comes already near bay leaves.
don't know more or less bay leaves, but cedar is supposed to be wonderful for keeping moths away. They supposedly dislike intensely the scent of the oil. That's why cedar closets and cedar hanger are so popular. Cedar is DEFINITELY not harmful to cats.
