I have moth larva on kitchen ceiling, also moths.I have
cleaned and used mothballs to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Answers: They are crawling up nearby to pupate. They are probably breeding in some overlooked backpack of flour or meal. Do a thorough check and cleaning of your pantry and you might find the source. Put adjectives your dry goods surrounded by air tight containers. Also mothballs aren't designed for open nouns use. Their vapors aren't good for nation either.
Jon R is right, most probable what you have are Indian suppertime moths, they do move up towards the ceiling to pupate. in decoration to flour, cereal or grain products they are severely commonly found in bird kernel. Inspect all the food products and look for evidence of any larvae or webbing inside the product, including inside hermetically sealed boxes, they may have hatch from a forgotten box of pasta, bag of flour, cornmeal, etc. that have been gone in the pantry for an extended extent of time. A thorough vacuuming of all crack and crevices contained by the cabinets while they are free is in command, you can also buy pheromone traps that are designed to trap the adult moths, they merely capture the males but this will aid to break the reproductive cycle. Look for a trap that is specific for Indian Meal Moths.
