I am considering getting an old fashioned manual push mower. I freshly moved and the backyard is tiny. It hardly seems worth firing up the gas powered mower for a sward the size of a two car garage. Does anyone have any experience beside these old fashioned but enviro friendly mowers? Are they difficult to use or maintain? I found one at a home center for roughly $70.
Answers: Manual mowers are wonderful for small yards. As long as you make sure to hang on to the blades sharp & not rusty, it will work forever for you. It will be much cheaper than the gas & upkeep on a gas mower. I did some checking online & $70 is a very good concordat. Some types of these mowers are going for almost $300. I would definitely get it.
Depending onhow small the grassland is it may work out ok. They are ok for small lawns, not that difficult to use but must keep blades sharp. th eprice $70.00 is good I hold sen them for around $90.00. Have you considered an electric mower?
