Why do i collect crap?
Answers:    They enjoy a very shallow root system so you don't enjoy to water them for a long time but they similar to a lot of wet. They evolved in a thaw out humid climate where it rain every day but not for long--like on a desert island. Compost scratched into the top few inches of the soil is a dutiful way to attain them nutrients--they don't need much. Again, they are used to living surrounded by fairly poor soil.
