I got one of those lucky bamboo plants from walmart.it is the one i.e. like intwined.am i supposed to take the little gold ingots string things and the plastic things off of the plant?in crust you don't know what im talking about,i contemplate they are to help give the plant its shape.am i supposed to cut them sour?
Answers: They really aren't needed, but are used so they stay together during shipping. If you like the vase they're within, just remove the ties. Or you can put them in a container you approaching. Just make sure you have adequate stones or marbles in it to hold the stalks up & together. You can find different color or clear marbles/stones at dollar tree. Try to have at most minuscule 2" of stones in the container & the bamboo won't move. Just preserve the water level at like peas in a pod level as the stone.
I would leave them on until they bring close to restricting the bamboo from growing thicker.. the longer they're there the longer it can work on getting strong adequate to hold itself up..
if you don't like them you can take them sour, but the plant might topple over.. so if you really don't like them just replace them next to something less noticeable, similar to fishing line or a thin string..
