My husband and i are first time buyers, and thinking of buying in Hemel. We cant afford london, but obligation to commute and the 30 minute train ride seems just what the doctor ordered!
Tell me what you think of Hemel Hempstead.
Ive read some year outdated posts on here saying its Chavtastic, and thats not the kinda place we want to live within. BUT we went here, and it wasnt THAT chavy... Or was it!?
Answers: I grew up contained by Hemel Hempstead when it really was naff - zilch to do. However, not lived there for years presently so not too sure on what people reason of it. It's meets your criteria of 30 minutes by train to London though and I dream up the trains are pretty good, and dance into Euston. The shopping centre have recently be done up and there are lots of current houses. Good transport links with the M1 and M25. Shop around, resembling everywhere there are worthy and bad areas and you a short time ago need to pick the right one. Lots of ancient ex council houses which you may get cheaper or a newer and more expensive place too (I muse Fairview have built lots of flats and houses on the conduit around the Apsley area).
Hemels nice in places and it will increase contained by value as it is an up & coming nouns. train lines very reliable as very well!
