Is near such a item as a small space heating system specifically secure to hand down on even when you are not home? The pipes that distribute the heat throughout the rest of the house...

The pipes that distribute the heat throughout the rest of the house do not work contained by my room and it's too cold during the winter (and my parents wont fix it). Does anyone know of a heater specifically safe adequate to leave on low when I am not home?

Buy an oil-filled radiant electric fire that has a thermostat on it - they're beneath 100 bucks & are a lot safer to head off on as they kick stale before it get too hot.
