The water cooler's compressor can cool its tank within 5-7 minutes, so its no biggie to wait for cool water. I am more concerned nearly the compressor conking out due to it being plugged-in and unplugged intermittently.

Answers:    _I could be wrong. However it seems to me that the compressor turns on and rotten intermittently during the day to keep the marine at a certain temperature. Therefore, it would be logical that unplugging it during the time would prevent wear and tear rather than induce it. However, as stated previously, I could be wrong.
