Is nearby a sure fire route to trap fruit flies? ...
I've hear of a few ways, but this one worked for me:
Get a small glass and put citric fruit at the bottom (orange pieces, banana pieces); anything that have a strong smell. Put some plastic wrap over the top and poke one hole in the middle of it. I did this beside a mechanical pencil so the hole be big enough for them to receive in but not fly out of. Make sense? Then put newly a dab of ginger juice around the hole to attract them. The bugs bring in but they can't find out! I ended up pouring river into the hole once there be about 25-30 flies contained by there and it drowned them. To verbs up, you dump the water into the sink (water running too to rinse out away the flies) and use the plastic wrap to throw away the fruit that was inside the cup and possibly some dead flies.
I've also hear that apple cider vinegar works well too. Good luck getting those pests out of nearby!
Fruit Flies
For the past few months, I hold had a big problem next to those pesky little "fruit flies" in my home. I do not bestow fruit out on the counter, so I know that isn't the problem. I wanted to know if any of the reader have have this problem and how they solved it. I would appreciate any assistance.

Clean the Cans
One thing that attracts fruit flies is beer or soda can. If you save them to subsequently recycle them, this could be the source. You will either enjoy to rinse out each can or put them contained by a sealed debris bag or container.

Make a "Fly Trap"
I worked at a handrail where fruit flies can be a problem. We put a small amount of red wine into a shallow dish, covered it near plastic wrap, and then poked a hole into it. This "fly trap" worked so honourable that it had to be changed every couple of days.

A Fruit Fly Solution from Down Under
I grow tomatoes, and I own found a great way to trap the flies when ripening fruit inside. To trap the fruit flies, I appropriate a 600ml or bigger soft drink bottle (soda bottle for the non-Aussies!) and cut it in partly round ways about a third of the agency down from the top. Put an old tomato or some fruit surrounded by the bottom of the bottle with a small amount of dampen. Take the top third of the bottle without its lid and turn it upside down and put it into the bottle (like a funnel). The flies can fly surrounded by, but don't make it put a bet on out again!

Try Apple Cider Vinegar to Control Flies
The easiest way I've found to catch rid of fruit flies is to put about an inch of apple cider vinegar surrounded by a jar with some small holes poked contained by the lid. The flies go surrounded by, but they can't find their way out.

Get Rid of Extra Moisture
We have a problem with fruit flies for months. We couldn't even hold fresh flowers in our home. During a call round from my dad, he noticed that the kitchen sink faucet have a small leak that cause perpetual dampness around the faucet. We bought a exotic one and Dad replaced it. By eliminating the extra moisture surrounded by that spot in the kitchen, the fruit flies suddenly disappeared.

Old Fashioned Fruit Fly Control
You can try fly composition or tape. Look for them at places that get rid of stuff to horse owners. Wipe down all kitchen surfaces near pure vinegar. You can also mix up some peels and other stuff within a container that you throw out daily. Here is a recipe for Fly Eliminator from the Old Farmer's Almanac.
Fruit Fly Eliminator
1 pint milk
1/4 lb. lightly cooked sugar
2 ounces ground pepper
Combine all ingredients surrounded by a saucepan and simmer for 8-10 minutes. Pour the mixture into shallow dishes. Flies attack it greedily and soon suffocate. Recipe has be handed down within New England since 1850.

Check Your Houseplants
Those fruit flies could actually be gnats that hatch contained by plant soil. If you have live plants, check the soil when you dampen and see if the little critters are running around the pot and plant. If they are, you can buy the yellow sticky traps and put them surrounded by your plants, or the catalogue company Gardens Alive make a very dutiful organic product call "Knock Out Gnats."

Bubble Bonanza
I simply put 1/4 cup white vinegar and a squirt of liquid dishwashing soap surrounded by a cup and add marine until the bubbles reach the top of the cup. Leave it on the counter and the fruit flies are attracted to it and they seize stuck in the bubbles.

Laboratory Tested Solution
I've worked beside fruit flies for several years in a laboratory situation and we used bottles chock-a-block with beer or another sweet juice with a broadsheet funnel taped to the top to occupation stray fruit flies. Make sure that the funnel opening is immense enough for the flies to enter, but not too massive that they can easily fly out. The flies are attracted by the sweet smell, but aren't smart satisfactory to escape the funnel. Once the bottle is filled, you can video over the top of the funnel and throw the bottle away. Make more bottles as necessary.

Fungus Gnats or Fruit Flies?
If you don't hold fruit, you probably don't have fruit flies. My guess is you own houseplants and fungus gnats, which resemble fruit flies to the untrained eye. Stop watering your houseplants, let the soil dry up, and the flies, which pupate within the soil (medium), will not be able to reproduce. When you do walk back to watering, consent to the soil dry every time before re-watering.

Lemongrass Essential Oil Works
Fruit flies are a definite pain when they appear for the summer and fall down. We used to have problems beside them until I began spraying the house next to a dilution of Lemongrass Essential Oil. I take a verbs spray bottle that has not be used for other chemically laden products and place 10 drops per 2 ounces of hot river in it. Shake it okay and spray those little pests. Not only does it work on fruit flies, but it will also rid your home of spiders, ants, house flies and most unwanted creepy crawlers. Not lone does it work, but it also smells great! Leaves a pleasant scent in the home. I use it outside around the side saunter, the doors, windows, and anywhere I see creepy crawlers congregation.
Not long ago, as the winter gave passageway to spring, we had an infestation of little tiny ants contained by the bathroom. We are on the ground level of an apartment complex, so we find whatever crawls upon the dirt. I sprayed heavily and we have not have any more problems. Only a week prior, the office sent out word that they be spraying for spiders and ants. They did, but we still had ants and spiders contained by our home. However, we are now virtually bugless! I be almost disappointed I only have to use the solution a couple of times to rid us of them! It works very in good health. Just make sure you gain the real stuff.

Answers: Take a sm. glass w/ in the region of 1 inch of apple cider vinegar, and a couple drops of dish detergent. Mix it up well, and set aside on your counter. It will attract the flies and they will drown. Works similar to a charm!!
