I have an indoor plant and resting on the soil, there is white, furry stuff growing. What is cause this and is it harmful? I enjoy other plants as well, and it is singular happening on one of them. Thank you!

Answers:    Soil is too showery. Remove with a teaspoon and agree to pot soil dry out a bit. New, clean soil can be added to the top, also. Water your plant from the bottom if the container have a hole in the bottom, and solely water it when the top have been dry for awhile.

Some potting soils hold moisture longer than others which may be the difference surrounded by this happening beside only the one plant.

Don't put the plant outside to dry it out as it might seize sunburned.

It sounds like some fungus or mold... this usually happen if you're overwatering. I got this on adjectives of my clay pots and on top of soil when my plants be in my terrarium and it be too humid in within. I added a small fan and it took contemplation of the problem. Goodluck!
