Don't use incense, or airfreshners, or febreeze. Those things a short time ago cover an odor. Clean doesn't really have a smell. Run the vacuum really okay about once a month. And after vacuum the traffic area every week. Dust have an odor.
Do get your dirty clothes out of your room! And what just about your shoes? Do they stink? You might start leaving your sneakers or other smelly shoes contained by the garage.
Keep on top of your nouns. A tidy area is much more restful than a room crammed to the gills. Check out www.flylady.lattice for other ideas.
