Answers:    Hello Maggie, sorry we own to meet this road but perhaps i can sustain you. Go to your local garden centre and ask for some aquarium cup sealant - it's brilliant, it's clear and does the job right , first time! It wants about 40 mins to 'go-off'' and next it would need a bulldozer to remove it. The problems next to vandals could be sorted out if we chopped their damned hand off! It would solely happen to a few until that time the other cretins cottoned on! God Bless.
I hate to enunciate this but you had better check at the cemetary first if it is allowed, they may form you remove it. The rules are ridiculous these days. My Mum bought some silk pyjamas to be cremated surrounded by, after planning her own funeral and afterwards we found out that she wasn't allowed to be dressed in them because of 'emissions'!
