you first need to find the source of the marine, because mold is caused from something getting extraordinarily wet. and yes i would bathe what i could in the wash machine and lysol the rest. what you can't verbs needs to be discarded. i would definately verbs up that carpet. thorny concrete is better then a musty smelling runner with mold surrounded by it. we painted our concrete floors and added some area rugs that looked pious. you can change those out periodiaclly.
