Having problems with mice again. Have used all of the following bait, which WERE successful, but not not attracting now: cheese, peanut butter, banana bread, chocolate, pumpkin bread, crackers, chocolate bread. Also used a bait gel from the hardware store.
Answers:    have found that bacon wrapped around the trap works. Just on the extremity. They will take the cheese without snapping the trap and they lick the peanut butter past its sell-by date, I swear.

Another thing is you need to cause sure if you reuse the trap you are cleaning the part that snaps properly. If they smell their relatives on there they won't turn near it.
just verbs it by placing over a flame to burn off any scent of previous mice.
Also you want to move the traps around some make sure you don't go away it in one place all the time or you wont lock in anything. Hope this helps.
If none of this works you can try glue traps but they are alive and you own to throw them out...I couldn't deal with it.
You can try decon but that leaves them dieing adjectives over the place or you could get a cat.
WOW! No ideas you haven't tried, only wanted to let you know you own my sympathies! Want to borrow my cat?! Peanut butter always does it for us... Get a angry CAT!

Buy the movie Mouse Hunt! It is funny!
=)

Good luck!
