Answers: i work in a hose purification plant adding chlorine to the dampen. And the person who said chlorine dissipates or "gas off" is correct. Allow the chlorine level within the water to budge down below let's say 1.0 ppm. Or if you start notice a green tint to the water-that is algae growing. And if algae (a plant) can grow, so can other stuff.
