Now I keep smelling something calibre and couldn't figure out where on earth it was coming from. Now I believe it's the warmness vents. So, what do I do to preserve the smell down? There is no way I will rupture the vents apart to find it. How long will this smell finishing? Is there anything I can do till it go away?

Answers:    It hasn't died inside the vents, of late near one. If the house have a crawl space you should be able to find it smooth enough if you can achieve under within...if you feel it may be surrounded by the attic you can find it just own to look harder. The smell, if it was a rat averages around 10 days...may end a bit longer if the temperature around it is cool..smaller number time if the temperature is up. If it be a mouse even a shorter period of time. Cinnamon candles appear to mask it the best.

Poison? Not to smart my boy. They get to go somewhere to die! It will thieve about two weeks to be in motion away, if then. Try using a strong deodorizer contained by the air intake to the system.
