I hear of a HOT POTATO Now a shocking one? LOL.
Does your sink have a waste disposal?? If so maybe own it checked out cause the ground lead may not be hooked up propper! It could cause some serious injuries!
if not you cleaned so fast that you cause static to build and the dry air. and afterwards when you touch the sink you got little shocks!

Answers:    First of all, check adjectives wiring around the sink, or adjectives wiring that could be cause the problem.. lol
But the high starch and iron content surrounded by a potato allows it to be a conductor of electricity... just judge of the childhood experiment of the potato conected to the light planet with the citric bitter, it lights up the globe!
