Do you think we should start stockin our food supplies or have you allready.I do hold a few things on hand but my neighbor is stocking groceries up says its going to draw from bad.What do you think?
~Well, a short time ago in case of a innate disaster you are suppose to keep enough stocked food and fresh wet to last your family a week. If you touch like our economy is collapsing, it would grant you comfort to stock up in food, then do so. Just get sure you check expiration dates and rotate food as necessary. I to be sure hope things never get this serious!~~ yes stock, but not over stock. watch the expiry date and you can other use it before and re stock again. It is good to hold canned foods at hand.

I'm living in the UK, and food prices, fuel, interest rates and inflation seem to be through the roof. Over here there's speak of a big recession, and I'm obviously worried, as are many others. Politicians are chitchat about long term issues, such as food shortages world cavernous. I've never gardened in my life, but very soon have a thriving vegetable patch. I'm also getting a few chickens later contained by the month. I haven't started stock piling food, preferring to grow it, and cut it fresh when needed. I understand how worried you must be, and from what I've seen on the tv, there's a similar monetary climate in the Us as there is here.
I agree that putting a few extra can away is perhaps a good hypothesis, but in the long term I mull over growing your own if possible is the way forward if you enjoy the space. I also stretch my budget further by buying fresh rather than processed food. I've even started making my own bread.
Yes, I think it's going to seize worse economically before it gets better, if it ever fully recover. Politicians are saying the era of cheap food prices is over, and from the increase in prices surrounded by stores already, I'm afraid I'm beginning to think so too. Try not to hysterics buy, as this will lead to shortages, especially if everyone starts doing it. I understand and share your concern, and desire I knew the answers. Anyway, I've rambled on far too long, I'm stale to start weeding my bean patch!

please lets not get geared up for the great deppression. yeah it might get a little tough but it isn't close to we are chipmunks and have to stalk up for the winter. Where do you live? Do you know something we don't? What is getting bad? Should I verbs. Why do we need to stock up on food supplies?
Answers: I devise it's always great to have extra supplies on foot just in travel case of anything. If you find a great deal on something you'll use get two. Beware of hording and clutter though. Don't run too overboard.
