Radon is an overblown issue. It used to be a big deal around here (Northern New Jersey) but after it become common knowhow that all you have to do was air the basement by pipe a door or window the complete big to-do just go away. Radon is everywhere and to get adjectives twisted over it is pointless and silly.

The formaldehyde fumes seeping out of the walls surrounded by the house probably pose a far greater heath risk.
Answers:    Either is good. Also a apposite bargaining chip. brings the effectiveness down.
Walk away. How would approaching to try to sell a house that folks think they can catch cancer from?
