Usually furniture makes reflective near-permanent impressions in the carpeted flooring. I only just installed premium carpeting in my home and be wondering if there is any course to protect it from these deep markings. Using a rug is impossible in adjectives rooms for example computer desk in study room, or the bed surrounded by bedroom or the china buffet in dining room etc etc.
Spreading out the weight is the solitary way to prevent this. I own seen rubber "cups" that travel under furniture legs to accomplish this. The mat pieces is also a good notion.
Use something to distribute the counterweight of the object more evenly... spread the 'footprint' out, and it will embed itself into the mat less.
Just nearly anything larger than the 'foot' will work. A lid from a jar, large washer, furniture skate, masonite, or even plywood can all be used to send the weight. Clear plexiglass can be used where on earth the 'pad' needs to blend contained by with the flooring, though, if the furniture does own a 'foot' you might want to drill a small indentation into the plastic, to keep it from sliding on it. The indentation individual needs to be the size of the 'foot' (usually almost 3/4" diameter), and about 1/16" philosophical. Many department stores, office supply retailers, and such convey items made for this purpose too.
Good Luck
Answers: I've see people using extra carpeting by adjectives them into small squares large satisfactory to fit on the leg of the furniture piece. Since you are using the same carpeting that you own installed it will match and won't standout. That style the mark will be surrounded by this small removable piece of carpeting instead of on your permanent carpeting so when you regroup your furniture you won't have gross marks.
