How to keep hold of indoor plants from groing mold surrounded by the soil? i forget to water so when i do i dampen them...

i forget to water so when i do i dampen them i water plentifully... i think the moisture make it easy for mold to grow on the top band of the soil.the plants are all still doing fine i enjoy had most of them for more than two yrs...

is here something i can spray on the soil to stop it?

any recommendations?
Apply one tub of unflavored yogurt (roughly 1 kg) to your indoor plants once a week. the probiotics will help stabilise alkali level, thus lowing the specific capacity for mold to be fertilised

White substances on the soil surface may indicate two things. If crusty or crystalline, it's probably an accumulation of salt.
The crusty surface layer of soil can be removed and replaced beside fresh soil between repottings.

A white or light pale mold-like growth may indicate the presence of a saprophytic soil fungus, a fungus that lives on dead or decaying thing. The fungus will not harm the plant but may indicate unsterile potting milieu or an overwatered plant.

You can sterilize the soil by baking it according to this website in any your oven or microwave.

I found that lighting is also very influential. Check out this website, it is all inclusive on everything!

How can you describe if your plant is not receiving tolerable light?

The plant does not grow.
The internodes (spaces between the leaves) on the exotic growth are much longer than the internodes on the older member of the plant.
The new leaves are smaller than the elder leaves.
The leaf color is a lighter green on the newer foliage than on the elder foliage.
The older leaves are limp.
Answers:    Water gaping into the soil. Not on the top of it. Water less normally than you do now and contained by between just spray the leaves next to water next to a spray bottle.
