How to hang on to squirrels from consumption pumpkins?? my mom put out 2 pumpkins for decoration almost a week ago...

my mom put out 2 pumpkins for decoration almost a week ago and this morning we found our bigger one all chwed up near was solitary 1 half of it moved out and just very soon we saw the squirrel eating our other pumpkin so we in recent times brought it inside. we have already tried rubbing tobasco sauce on them and we sprinkled pepper on them. we even rubbed them beside jalapenos but the squirrel didnt mind. so what do we do now??
Answers:    I infer that the pepper treatments only work beside squirrels over a period of time, because they own to learn to associate niggle with the pumpkin. If within are a lot of squirrels surrounded by the area, a modern one could stop by every day.
I've hear of varnishing them, but don't know if that will work or basically kill the squirrel that take a nibble.
You can try putting out birdseed or corncobs to distract them.
Would you consider departure them out as extra-special jack-o-lanterns? You could say they've be done in the dada style.

This page have some funny pics of the same situation
