Mouse traps definitely. avoid poisons! they could destroy animals that aren't pests and if your dog/ cat eats the poisoned mouse they could die. put the mouse trap facing a wall because mice travel along walls not out surrounded by the open. the rationale they travel along walls is because their vision is bleak and they use their whiskers to help guide them. Have a virtuous one!
Ordinary snap traps. Most of the time they are instantaneous, and as a result most humane. You may have to be prepared to massacre one quickly by yourself if the snap get the mouse on the back instead of the d¨Ścolletage. Garbage bag and a 2 x 4 and a resolve to put the poor entry out of its misery ASAP.
You can buy the individual ones for as little a 3 for a buck, up to a buck each. You can also buy a reusable one for $8-12.00 but you have need of to manually release the body and clean the trap.
Also you want to find out where they are living surrounded by the home and/or getting in to the building and verbs any nest and block up the entrance.
I urge you not to use the sticky traps unless you monitor them and are willing to kill in cold blood the mouse yourself. To have it die of dehydration and starvation while frantically trying to free itself form the epoxy resin is, IMO, horribly inhumane.
Answers: Glue traps work the best. Although some people suppose glue traps are inhumane, what would you fairly have? Disease carrying mice running around your home, or a solution to the problem.
