I have someone celebrated visiting tomorrow, so how do I receive my house smell really, really good?
Buy an oil burner and some nice grease. You can buy these from lots of places, chemists, supermarkets, cheap shops. Or buy some frangrent candles. As long as you choose a nice supple fragrance (like vanilla or rose) and light them in the order of an hour before your guest arrives it will sort the house smell good. Don't put them surrounded by the room you will be in, possibly the next room so it's not overpowering. Use one and only one oil burner but you may involve a couple of candles. A few fresh lillies or nice smelling flowers on the table would be a nice, welcoming adornment also. You have lots of accurate ideas next to all these answers, merely make sure you don't use more than one or two otherwise your house will smell strange.
Other than opening the window for fresh air as others own suggested, I have an automatic spray that you can set the timer on and it sprays nice scent periodically. Mine is made by detol and I really like it, but near are similar products.
