Actually the local stores do NOT sell anything strong plenty to control termites. You can only get the strong stuff if you own a license to apply poisons for pest control. Just call around to see who will give you the best operation as far as price and warranty. Pick someone who has been around for a while...or at least possible will be there 3 years from now, if you have need of them again.
After they have been kill you can buy those termite bait stakes and use them...but don't waste your money on them if you are already infested.
