I live in Oklahoma and hold chickens that just started lay a couple months ago. The eggs range from small to generous. Some are white, some are brown, and even green. I've been selling my eggs for a $1 a dozen, but I'm freshly not breaking even. The cost of feed is going up! How much do you deem I can get away near charging? Any ideas on how to break the communication to my existing customers that my prices will be going up? Thanks in mortgage.
You should be able to charge in a few cents of retail prices at the grocery store. An increase of 50 cents is not that much. People will pay a premium for fresh eggs that they can purchase directly from the grower.

raise the price 50 cents., and just sell fresh eggs.
we love to buy eggs from individuals a bit stores.
but they must be fresh. LOL
Answers:    Tell your customers exactly what you state here about cost of nurture etc. I would pay more than the grocery store prices for your eggs because I know what you are feed them. Market your eggs as a premium product worth more.

PS I would sell the green eggs near ham LOL
