if lets read aloud I have my own parkland on which I want to build a home. Regardless of how big the home will be (maybe 10,000+ sq ft), how much PER SQUARE FEET am I looking at if I want to have stuff similar to marble floor through out the house, granite countertops in kitchen as capably as in adjectives the bathrooms, double curved stairs in entry foyer, marle columns at many places in the house. Some goodies will include built-in threater, gym, library etc.

It will also include swimming pool and basketball court but those are extras which a party could add then on too so DO NOT include those in the cost.

Also, what is cheaper: Marble vs. Granite floor? And which among these 2 is better (quality wise): Marble floor or Granite floor?

Thanks!
Answers:    All depends on where on earth you live...In nothern california if you are looking to build a high wrapping up house with tile, marble, granite, stone on the exterior, fancy appliances/fixtures, detailing, pool, grade (if the lot is sloped), etc. it can cost about $300-400 a square foot, I don`t know more. I work in lofty end residential, and we lately had a client finish a 10,000 sq ft house on a hillside lot and it cost him in the region of $4 million to build. Granted this is in northern california and the lot be about $500,000 if i remeber correctly. If you are doing it cleaply surrounded by this area it can be done around $200-250 a square foot. You may want to contact some local builders within your area to see what they own to say.

Here is the house
