From a tiny seedling, only in recent times got two little leaves on the top? Can you offer me some VERY informative websites on how to do it? I would use an acorn to start it, but the squirrels pick up all the free acorns right as they ground and All I can do is dig up a tiny seedling that already grew from an acorn that get missed last year. I want to start one, but I don't really know how to do it, the sites you pass me would be REALLY good if they included a store to buy shaping tools and chain and substrate and pots and stuff, I am not starting yet, probably won;t until subsequent spring after the trees have stopped hibernate.
Growing Bonsai trees is easier than you might regard.
Try looking up Bonsai clubs in your nouns. There are many clued-up folks who love helping. Most large nurseries will enjoy the tools you will need.
I recommend a vastly good set of two of knuckle cutters (for making convex cuts when removing limbs),
A very sharp set of two of plant scissors, Some grating for the holes at the bottom of the planters, and an assortment of different sizes of copper or aluminum wire.
You will necessitate bonsai soil, also available at the large nursery, and you want to place your seedling surrounded by a one gallon container for the first couple years, so it develops a good root and trunk system (once it's get a thicker trunk, you'll place it in a shallow container. If you used a Bonsai pot first, it would purely grow tall and spindly).
If you buy the Sunset Bonsai book at the immense nursery, it will give you most of the information you desire.
Joining the nearby Bonsai club will distribute you the rest.
All the websites out there impart a little info, but I hold yet to find a comprehensive Bonsai website.
Don't know where on earth you live, but an Oak bonsai will need the season just resembling a normal-sized tree. And it will grow at the same speed, but you're manipulation of the roots and leaves/limbs will keep hold of it from attaining full height. Try these sites:

Answers: There are lots of good network sites, and plenty of books, but the one book I like the best is Bonsai Life Histories, by Martin Treasure. He parley about 50 bonsai he have grown, with pictures, accepted wisdom, practical tips, and tells you exactly how to start, grow, prune and cable them. You don't need expensive tools, of late pruners, pots, wire and telecommunication cutters. Nothing you can't get at your local home reorganization store. As for your seedling, the best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. I would find one or two I liked, verbs it up, put it in a pot but start out it outdoors, up next to your house and piled next to leaves, and then when it leafs out surrounded by the spring, you can start playing with it.
That's similar to asking a pilot how to fly a plane. Actually, you're welcome to read the Bonsai Care page of my site:
