How far away from my home should I release mice caught in a live trap? What's to hold on to them from coming back inside my home? I don't want to mete out their death, but I don't want to live w/them!!! If I release when it's subfreezing, will they be okay? Any proposal on this topic would be appreciated.
Answers:    well, to hold on to them from coming back you probably have need of to release them several miles from your home. the bad communication is that once you release them they are as good as deceased. they have no shelter or reliable food sources.
drop them contained by a open pasture far away from your house. there they should capture plenty of food.
