Following a comment on a previous question I asked (relating to getting a book published) I have a comment about the environment, this have got me thinking, How environmentally friendly are we adjectives.... Really?
If any one of us were really that serious nearly 'saving our planet' why are we adjectives using computers and not out in the garden planting trees etc?

As for me, I hold never flown, I walk when I can, I own just given away my tumble dryer and my carbon footprint is lower than the national average so I am doing my bit? What else could I be doing?
Answers:    Possibly the best entry you can do to contribute your little bit to protecting the environment is to recycle. Judging from the other things you've told us you do, you probably do recycle and just didn't mention it.

In most areas, next to a little research, you can find places that adopt and recycle just something like anything...newspapers, steel and bi-metal can, glass, and most types of plastic. Admittedly, it's take a fair amount of shot, but it's a way of going green that doesn't cost anything.

Looking for products near a high percentage of their casing made of recycled materials, and trying to stay away from those that use a lot of plastics for their paper and packing also helps.

If you enjoy some disposable income to spend, think of replacing the incandescent reading light bulbs in you house near LED lights. You'll probably have to do that unhurriedly, because the LED's aren't cheap, but they use about 10% of the gusto of an incandescent bulb to put out the same horizontal of lighting, and their life span is extremely long (at least possible that's what the C. Crane Company claims). The savings on your electric bill is a nice bonus, too.

There's so much more we adjectives could do, most of it without making through sacrifices, that I could jump on for hours. But I hope these couple ideas sustain. Good luck....were more folks (including me) more enviromentally conscious, we'd adjectives be a lot better past its sell-by date.
Running your houses electricity off a crisscross turbine would be a start, a bit costly but it will pay for itself by the time your grandchildren are collecting their bus pass, not that there will be any vehicle around then unsurprisingly.
