How do you hold bees out of your pool? Bees will not leave the pool alone. It is insane the amount...
Bees will not leave the pool alone. It is insane the amount of bees that come to it and the amount of water that these bees obligation apparently. Anyway they are driving me crazy and I can't find a whole lot online about it. My son (six) wont even swim anymore more because he is worried to get stung even though I try to explain that they will leave him alone if he leaves them alone. Please if you hold any ideas. Thanks.
Is it above ground or under ground?? I had an above ground pool and we sprayed RAID bee+ wasp adjectives around the edge of it under the ridge. It really helped. Also, don't eat or own sweet things near the pool. THey are attracted to that.
And if there are flowers growing near, get rid of them.
And one final drastic measure... something like 25 feet from the pool, place a shallow dish (like a pie plate or paint tray) full of sugar water. The bees will take stuck in the sticky stuff and die but it will keep them away from the pool.
Dont kill any Bee hives !! They are already becoming rare and following trends honey bees could be extinct (in the Uk) within 20 yrs.
Bees are habitual. If you know where the Hive is dispense them a water source nearer to drink, or even in your garden (Rags, an older sack in a makeshift pond, bowl etc.., something they can land on, which is what I used to do when I be a bee-keeper). It might draw them away as they do change there minds and may opt elsewhere is a better place to drink. Other wise - I don't know, but they may find a different source and give up suddenly. They don't sting unless provoked but I know its tricky to convince a 6 year prehistoric
eat them !
at hand must be a hive nearby, I would call a be guardian, see if they can find the hive, remove the hive and the bees and your problem is solved If you are having a lot of bees that mechanism there is a nest nearby. Find the nest and murder the bees.
Answers: It's simple the Bee's are coming to the Pool to get hose.
They have many uses for it... from drinking, to using it to produce mud ( wasps) or textile to build their Hive.
If you look around your area you may find that the Pool is the only source of wet available for the Bees.so I suggest that you provide them with another source in another subdued part of the Yard.
They would much rather bring their water from a small pond...then be swatted at by a Kid and Mom :)
I would provide a considerable (like small kiddie pool size or a pond) source of water in another constituent of the Yard to encourage them to use it instead of your main pool.
To attract them to it, Plant some flowers that bee's are attracted to around the Pond > also put some kitchen bits and pieces ( old sweets, or citrus fruits) near the other marine source. I can almost guarantee that if you do this you will find that they go to the pond and you will see a Major reduction of Bee's around the pool.
I hold both a pond and a pool - The Bee's hang out near the pond.
I would also suggest that if your going to provide a small pond, that you also grasp a few goldfish for the pond to eat the mosquito Larva.
The Bee's will be happy, you will be Happy and you will own a tranquil pond to enjoy:)
I know it sounds strange but,I have found that for example when I hold a Picnic or BBQ if I put a cup of Pop or a small plate of food AWAY from the main food table...bugs like Bee's will progress to it instead of bothering people at the tables.
Look they would fairly not Be around you either...give it a try
I swear it works.
