I have some rattan in a jar of hose. The oldest sticks are green but are not growing. I cut off the individual long thin stem growing from the thicker elder stem to see if that would make it grow more stems and leaves, but zilch happened for the closing 3 weeks. I started suing plant food in the sea, but still nothing. The stem is green, but perchance its dead? What can I do to take this thing to grow?
Answers: Try adjectives or sawing off the terrifically end of the wicker, and then dip it some helpful of rooting compound before putting it put money on in the sea. (The compound is sold at any garden supply store, and most big-box stores with a fully clad gardening department.) If you can find a garden supply store, try asking one of the workers for advice.
