How do I take rid of fleas contained by my apartment? The previous tenant had two dogs and left me near the fleas....
The previous tenant had two dogs and left me near the fleas. And I mean bad. When I come in to look the place over I had fleas adjectives over my feet. Probably 30 or so in just about 5 minutes. The place was empty though for a week or more so they be probably hungry.
The carpets have be commercially cleaned, flea powder laid on the carpets, flea bombs lit off while the place be still empty, and today I used a spray on product which is called...Enforcer Flea Spray next to F.G.R.
I also gave my cat a flea dip and killed probably 50 on the cat and put a flea collar on him as resourcefully.
I vacuumed the floors tonite and found alot of live fleas in the bin (bagless).
Any tips would be a tremendous help.
Answers: You're doing a perfect job. Now consider what I just studious from my exterminator. Flea eggs can't be killed along with the fleas. After the first treatment you must retreat contained by about two weeks when most of the eggs have probably hatch. Fleas can live for up to a year in the egg stage. They will only hatch when disturbed. So when vacuuming, brand sure you get every inch of carpet you can draw from. Especially that spare room that you keep the door shut to. They're just lay in your carpet waiting to hatch. What hatch them? Any disturbance to the carpet such as you or your pet walking on it. You can do your own treatment in the house, I with the sole purpose use the exterminator for outside. Go to a pesticide store and simply ask the clerk what's best. And this is the cheapest and best advice you'll ever get: Put a moth globe in your vacuum bag (or anything it's called when you have a bagless) It will murder all the fleas and flea eggs that you have suctioned up. Good luck to ya.
u involve to get the cat flea meds from the vet, frontline or some other med, collars dont work.also put a pie pan chock-a-block with dish soap(lots) and water put a table lamp next to it and leave it on at darkness,no other lights.the fleas will jump toward the heat sorce plunge in the h2o and die,it wont cure all but it's a start Someone once told me that a flea can live for six months minus eating!! As soon as they get some protein (blood) they set off to reproduce! Just what you wanted to hear. I haven't had them that doomed to failure, but I use to let them get on my dog and afterwards I would bathe her (small poodle) and I would kill them that path. I would have to do it every day for a while, but it help. My sister has had cats for years and she said to carry any flea product, but it must have "precore" in it to work. You hold to be able to kill the eggs too. I would hail as the landlord and have them rob care of the problem, or at the very lowest possible, send them the bill of getting rid of them. Good luck!
