Squirrels have eat 3 of my small pumpkins already. I want to carve my 2 big ones for Halloween tomorrow but they also necessitate to last for my participant Saturday. How do I keep them fresh AND preserve the squirrels from eating them? Heard that vegitable grease is good, but after I think the squirrels might be attactracted to that? Also, hear vaseline doesn't really keep it fresher than a few days. What do i do?!
how about hot sauce and vaseline? i bet if the squirrels try that they wont try again .....also if you can wrap the pumpkin surrounded by a plastic bag when not on display and store it contained by the fridge or at least at the coolest place within the house. if thats not possible put atleast a bucket or something over it mmmmmm squirrel stew

Place some peanuts or other nuts out for them, I'm sure they would much rather chomp on nuts than pumpkin.
Other than that, squirrel stew is great and make nice, tasty brown gravy.
Now, back you peta people and crabby jerk start with the thumbs down crap, merely stand in front of a mirror and smile, a moment ago to see if your skin really cracks.
Answers:    Spray the pumpkins beside your favorite perfume. Not only they will smell well brought-up, but the squirrels will quickly swot up to stay away from them; who likes to munch through perfume anyways, LOL

In gardening magazines they influence to put human hair or shredded Irish Spring soap over the soil where bulbs are freshly planted. The perfume throws them sour.
