I live with my adjectives parents-in-law for the time being and they are elder, don't do much cleaning, and just won't listen!! One of their grandchildren have VERY bad asthma and get an attack almost every time he visits, especially while contained by their basement. They own a washer/dryer, stored junk, and a full workshop down in that that I'm sure is contributing. We've tried to tell them that they most probable have mold and other issues but they don't listen. My allergies and breathing hold even worsened since living here. I had to buy an nouns purifier just for our room.
What could be cause this trouble? How can I prove to them that they need to do something in the region of it? Any links to articles that could show them what's going on would be great! I don't know exactly what the problem is... but I just know near is one!
yeah they got mold and dust big time and if they hold cats or dogs that only make it worst. there underground store has to enjoy a moister problem ..if you got a dryer for the underground room it would help alot...insulating the walls would help out too.
Even if you bring to the fore their awareness, it doesn't necessarily mean they will nick the measures to correct it, even if to prevent illness. I think it would be very costly to remove mold - if they don't do much cleaning within the first place, you can be sure that news similar to that isn't going to motivate them.
They're obviously 'set surrounded by their ways'.
The best you can do, for now, is preserve that purifier in your room. Keeps your risks, at smallest, minimal.
Answers: They simply have a musty vault, and probably a dusty rest of the house. For the basement, buy them a $100 dehumidifier, especially needed contained by the Summer. Windows closed in the Summer. In Spring or Fall, Windows unfold down there. In Winter, nought really needed.
Unless you want to clean the complete rest of the house in detail, you own done the right thing near your air purifier.
