I have to cause a centerpiece for a formal banquet within the next few days and I enjoy no idea what to do. Our troop nickname is the Allstars so it have to be representative of that theme and it doesn't hold to be too fancy. The best table's centerpiece wins a prize and I would really resembling to help my troop win so it has to be creative. The single idea I have was to find a styrofoam A, spraypaint it and have a bunch of stars coming out...or something coming out of a jug. I'm not sure, please help! I'm desperate!
Answers: I approaching your idea. If you hold to you can cut the Styrofoam in the shape of an A take fairly gluey stuff and that way you can take home it thick plenty to hold up the stars. What are you making stars out of? I know craft stores have wooden ones and at hand are always the plastic radiance in the poorly lit ones that usually go on ceiling, these can be glued on to straws cut to different length or small wooden skewers (for shish-ka-bobs) then inserted into the A. You could also use area colours and insert small flowers in the A keeping them short (artificial would be the easiest, you merely cut them short and you have a stiff piece of plastic to insert with) This would cover the Styrofoam, or newly glue stuff over the A or stray paint it, they sell small can now, Have fun beside it and hit the craft store ASAP and buy lots so that the centre piece is full not skimpy Hope this help.
Since it's a formal banquet, use black and silver. Go to a craft store,a dollar store, or even a deputation decorations store. Get silk roses(in silver),there are shiny silver hologram event favors on a stem with stars attached, the stars look close to they're cascading down approaching fireworks, you can get black silk leaves or flowers for your bouquet, you won't call for Styrofoam if you use a vase, a frosted cup vase is other pretty, no spray paint(too messy, looks cheap, save that view for the science project"Solar System"no joke did that for authentic, kid won!!!!) This centerpiece is so elegant looking, it also is so inexpensive to take home, once you choose your silk flowers , the rest is easy. Also cup flowers or glass star shapes on a stem look really expensive( but not), use a cup vase and colored marble decorate stones in the bottom of a clear vase(not frosted this time, for the see-thru effect. You're gonna win!!
