My good friend and her boyfriend just bought a house, and are have a party to celebrate. They are both surrounded by their mid-20's, and I'm not really sure what to get them. I'm on a limited budget (around $20-$40). What's something that pretty much anyone would like/ inevitability?
A cute doormat to wipe feet on. A dustbuster. A Home Depot Gift Certificate. A home repair guide book for the easier stuff. a hurricane lantern
a fan
a carpet/rug/door mat
a picture with home sweet home
hope that help
Oh you hold a ton of options! If they like to cook, a nice picnic basket full of kitchen gadgets, spices, silicone spatulas, flavored oils, flavored vinegars.
If you want to do a "safety" picnic basket; a smoke alarm and/or, a CO2 detector, flashlight and batteries, a first aid kit, a weather radio (battery operated), fire extinguisher are adjectives good ideas and you don't usually perceive you don't have them until you need one.
A nice bottle of wine and some wine goggles, a basket with a couple kind of cheese, crackers, fruit.
A coffee/tea basket - coffees both flavored and regular, same with the teas. Some nice mugs, a pretty sugar & creamer, a coffee inventor (if they don't have one!) a teapot or an electric tea kettle, a mug tree to hang the mugs on, a coffee grinder.
Answers: Just bought a house myself. All my friends and family have be here. Good choices are wine, food (or gift cards for grocery stores), and easy houseplants. Although the wine and plants can be overdone. A uncluttered gift I got be a garden hose and holder. How about candles, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors or a fire extinguisher? (I'm thinkin' emergency kit or something.)
A houseplant is polite . Make sure you replant it in a beautiful pot that match there decore. I am pretty sure that a plant means devout fortune or new beginnings. I am not positive but it symbolizes something good A plant, an interesting coffee table book, bottle of wine or champagne, picnic basket of fruit, a neutral colored blanket/throw.
magnets for the fridge,
picture frames, a vase..
a plant?
assorted seasonings to cook with
lineing paper for the kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinet A house plant and a bottle of wine. a gift basket would b worthy too. hope that helps ^^
Go to the grocery store and buy a fruit picnic basket then stop by Wal Mart and purchase a gift card. Guys are awkward to buy for and most of the time touch left out because we buy "girlie" stuff for the house. A gift card is not masculinity biased and can be used for anything they might need after the party is over. believe it or not, a pizza stone. they are childish, so they'll probably eat foods out of a box most often than not. pizza stones are honest for homemade pizzas, and frozen pizzas..they come in very handy [[ever try to put a pizza surrounded by the oven on a cookie sheet? not working!]]
I got one for my bff's matrimony shower some 4 years ago, and she still loves it!!
other ideas are flatware, dishes, wine glasses/margarita glasses etc. towels/wash clothes, throw rugs, mitt towels...if she is doing any themes for a particular room, try to obtain a few theme items to match..
