I have tried the Humane traps which allow him or her to budge in and not come out and after you can set it free outside but they are not working. The traps say-so to use peanut butter in them and smear some on the outside so they can smell it.i put nearly 8 or these traps all over and my full place smells of peanut butter lol. Now i even tried laying cheese out but still packed up. I know he/she is still in near b/cuz i saw it last darkness run in front of me. Any suggestions to what i can do that wont decimate the poor little thing? ty
Nope, your SOL keep trying or receive a cat. If you really want it to stay alive, keep doing what you are doing. If you get 8 different traps, I would suggest trying eight diffent foods.. you are bound to get him!
Place cotton balls dipped within peppermint oil/extract around your apt.. Especially behind appliances and surrounded by cupboards.. Stash dryer sheets under the bed, contained by drawers and other places mice like to hide from view. They don't like the smell.
Get a gaping bucket and some books to make "steps" on the outside... Smeer some peanut butter on the inside of the bucket... The mouse will fly into the bucket and not be able to go and get out.. Take outside/dispose.

Answers: I know how you perceive. I live in the country and you gotta verbs about a great deal more than mice and rats! Like snakes. However, you need to be pragmatic. Mouse droppings can build you sick. Give you diarheah and all sort of things. If the live traps don't work, later you need to do what you requirement to do.
