My heat pump uses the atmosphere temperature. I want to place it within the middle of the south side of the house, shaded in the summer and sunny surrounded by the winter, possibly cover it (winter only) with a plastic covered hoop house running the entire length (56 feet) of the house and in the region of 4 feet high with the ends covered within floating row cover from my garden. Hoping to provide adequate nouns flow for the heat pump, short allowing the cold winter wind whistle through freely. Thanks for the help.
Answers:    The simple answers are your summer solution could contribute you some savings by reducing the heat the condensing coil is operating in but if you make longer the refrigerant lines too far by moving it you will give it adjectives back contained by reduced efficiency. Either style it is likely a pretty small number.

Your winter solution is a impossible idea. Condensing coils are not really effect much by wind when heat. Your enclosure would credible entrap the cold being given bad by the condenser causing the heat in the coop to be lower than the temperature outside the compound. This would reduce value.
