Growing herb surrounded by a greenhouse? Hi, I am moving in to a block of unit and do...
Hi,
I am moving in to a block of unit and do not have space for a garden. I would close to to try and grow my own herbs and for this would want a mid-size greenhouse. I have never have the opportunity to grow a garden before but would looooove fresh plants for my cooking.
I hope to grow basil, thyme, rosemary, oregano, dill, parsley, chives, sage, mint, chives, cherry tomatoes, chillies and some aloe vera (not for cooking of course).
I live within Australia but my area is somewhat comparable to Florida year-round, in the neighbourhood the beach, divine sun... minus the humidity :)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Answers: Why do you need a greenhouse? If it's an issue near moisture retention, you could plant them in pots and later put the pots in clear plastic heaps. All of the herbs and plants you mentioned will grow ably in pots. Most plants will grow in good health in both direct and indirect sun.
