Getting a Blueprint? Okay so I don't know much about building houses and getting blueprints...
Okay so I don't know much about building houses and getting blueprints and stuff. But I saw this delicate house and I want to build one just similar to it. The only problem is that I want it built within a different state and I don't have the blueprints. Also I don't know who the builder is. What do you suggest I do?
Answers: Contact the owners as they may be capable of help. Also surrounded by some places the local planning office will own a copy.
An architect could probably produce a pretty good copy if you provide LOTS of photos from as abundant angles as possible.
Good luck!
I agree. Contact the owners first. If they didn't keep a copy of the prints they might can put you surrounded by touch w/ the general contractor or one of the sub contractors such as the company that framed the house. The planning and nouns office should enjoy a copy or the local courthouse. The state permit organization get's a copy also. The one problem w/ the owners is if they purchased the home. Then you could likely contact the existing estate agency and get on the right trail. You'll requirement an architect to draw up your plans anyway so he may me willing to put contained by the leg work to make his career easier.
