We have our old entertainment center that is to say very large and you cant bring it apart, we were going to put it in our underground store but it wont fit down the stairs. And now we just want to achieve rid of it, but what should we do with it we dont know what to do with it!
If you have a skill saw you could saw it surrounded by pieces. Only bad thing would be you would own saw dust to clean up.
We usually just put it out by the curb with a big sign that say FREE on it. It is usually gone within a day or two. Otherwise smash it to pieces if you can. Offer it "to be picked up only" on Craigslist.org or Freecycle.org. You could also see if at hand is a St. Vincent de Paul Society near you, they pick up donated furniture.
