Answers:    Sorry to hear of your aunt's passing.
If you know what kind of plant it be it'd be easier to know how to take fastidiousness of it. When in doubt, you want to brand sure it gets average sunlight. You don't want to put it in direct sunlight if you don't know if it can tolerate it. The best piece is to sit it near a skylight that has a sheer curtain or blinds where on earth you can adjust the incoming light. A lot of relations tend to overwater their plant. A lot of plants love to dry out a little between their waterings and some must be kept moist. The best item to do is stick your finger into the soil near the rootball and if it is really dry, dampen it. If it feels pretty drizzly, then don't wet it.
When you have some time after the doldrums surrounding your situation settles, refer to this website to get more specific info on the plant. In the meantime remember not to overwater the plant or fry contained by the light. If you own more info you can always present us more details.
My condolences go out to you and your family connections.
