As we arive home last night around 11pm, we catch sight of 1 "figgity" roach on the outside wall of the house, then it starts flying all crazy and crawling on the table lamp and the front door then flying around again keeping us from going in the house. Now we make out 2 and now there are 3 of them! We own no standing water anywhere. It last rain like 2 weeks ago and these bugs just come out of nowhere. How do we get rid of them? Is there a bait or a spray or something to hold them away?
Answers:    what you are seeing are adults...they don't have the same moisture requests that the younger ones have, so they may have come from a block over. Any common type insecticide that has a residual will work well against them. Use the "Home Defense" type products around the porches, pane sills, door thresholds and other entry points. use the sprayer that attaches to the garden hose to treat around the foundation and in flower beds around the home.
Ummm, RAID!
