We have a dog and we give the impression of being to have loads of flies gather right outside our door on the pebbles now the thaw weather is here. I've tried bleach and all sorts of different liquid. It smells lovely and clean but the flies are still nearby. Any ideas

Answers:    Are the flies tiny, similar to banana flies almost? If so you might have soil near fairly low pH - great conditions for the flies to breed. Try putting somewhat chalk down, or something from a Garden Centre you would use to get rid of moss.
