Fence Etiquette - Do you build onto your neighbor's or run a contemporary blockade parallel? We built a new house and the homes around us are contained...

We built a new house and the homes around us are contained by varous stages. The home behind us have a fenced backyard that backs up to our property row. Is there "blockade etiquette" when it comes to this? Do we build a completely encompassing fence as capably, or is it acceptable to share a paling wall and build from it. In this case, the paling is completely on the line of our property (I can put in the picture because the markers are still up). Thanks for the proposal. PS - I haven't met the neighbor yet - he hasn't moved within as his house is not ready.
Answers:    I would not attach any of your latest fence to their balustrade. Always build a little inside the file. Leave their fence it it looks up to standard. Build your own if you want to hide their unsightly fence. Or merely plant things that will soon cover the view.
Edit: that blue eyed irish lass is right roughly the face boards on the outside of your hot fence. I hold seen small lots next to the posts set on the property line. I focus it is inviting trouble. But etiquette is that neighbors share repair and rebuild costs of fencing.
most general public just include on to their neighbors existing fence! But, I would definatly tolerate your neighbor know your intentions!
