Answers:    Vornado electric space heaters work VERY well. The furnace contained by the house we were living surrounded by last winter broke and we could not use the woodburning stove b/c it aggrivated our babies' lungs. We get several of there electric heaters and they did a fanastic profession. You can sett them to the temp you want and they also work as fans. They can be fairly expensive - 100 dollars a piece for the ones we got, but they really do the trick and they are risk-free with small children running around as they will not basis burns.
