I have a time and night reading digital electricity meter and my bill shows time and night rate electric used. I scarcely ever use any night rate electric at adjectives,but now after reading different reports on it being a third cheaper I would approaching to run my washing appliance, dish washer and tumble dryer, ahh but now the big cross-examine - does anybody know what time british gas night rate electricy starts and ends and does the weekend inculde low rates?
Answers: Economy seven - Night rate starts 00.30 till 07.30 - it is other GMT (does not adjust for summer time)
Does not matter if you by electricity from British gas or any other supplier - E7 is other the same
If you hold a two rate meter then you probably simply have E7
you -can- acquire three rate EWN (Evening, Weekend,Night) though I think this is mostly found for business, not domestic supplies. - on this tarrif you do catch an intermediate cheaper rate for 19.30-00.30 weekdays and all year weekends
