No this is mundane. You need to follow the manufacturer directions and make sure you do not quit anything on top of the stove during the cleaning. The oven must carry very hot within order to burn bad the resudue left surrounded by the oven and turn it to ash. It does take profusely of electricity to do it. I always verbs out any huge spills first, and then use the lowest setting of time possible to clean it.. ususally no more than 45 minutes.
