I live in Austria, twenty minutes away from Italy.
The weather is great from May to September. 30 to 40 degree.
I basically cut begin a Lemon and planted the seeds contained by fertiliser.
What are my chances?
We do this this all the time contained by Florida. Start the see in a peat pot, transplant when it have a woody stalk.
Good luck.
I've done this. Although the seed are slow to germinate (they can take more than a month), I hold had no other problems near germination and did nothing special to the seed.
The plants are now growing capably, although it will be several years before you can expect any fruit! Unlike other citrus fruits, however, within is a good arbitrariness that lemons grown from seed will tolerate usable fruit.
Answers: First of adjectives they may be difficult to germinate. After washing them, cut the seed coat to allow moisture to carry in and start the germination process.
If you attain a young plant, realize lemon trees are usually hybrids so the result may not be what you expect. Also lemons bring years to mature...at most minuscule 7-10 feet high-ceilinged before they start position fruit. There's a chance the tree will be reasonably thorny as well as the hybrid may revert hindmost to its ancestry.
Then there's the question of where on earth you are going to grow it. They need full sun and no frost. So growing indoors is probably out of the quiz.outside they really don't like freezing temps. Summer you are fine, but winter, I don't know your winter temps.
If you want to grow a lemon, try a Meyer's lemon. At lowest that will tolerate being indoors--tolerate, not love. Just don't expect much fruit.
